As advocates of entrepreneurship and supporters of social good, the Agitate Media team wanted to put together a one day intensive workshop that would support Global Entrepreneurship Week (GEW) and impart valuable knowledge onto up and coming NGO professionals, small business owners, aspiring or working social entrepreneurs.
One of the key factors in good work is impact measurement and in our recent work, we have stumbled across quite an overwhelming number of well-meaning, hardworking, social change makers who have been making BIG mistakes in measuring the impact of their work because they do not understand one basic principle of impact measurement. That being Outputs versus Outcomes.
Do you know the difference between an output and an outcome? Do you understand how having/ not having an answer to that question helps or hinders the way in which you measure the impact of the valuable work you do?
If your answer to either or both of these questions is NO, let Agitate Academy help you!
In this course you’ll gain:
- a basic understanding of monitoring and evaluation
- an outline of an effective monitoring and evaluation system
- a definition of output
- a definition of outcome
- an understanding of the fundamental differences between output and outcome
- an understanding of how to effectively use outputs and outcomes to assess your impact.
